Joe Montgomery has a great amount of experience in the Musical
Variety venue. He has toured military installations in Southeast
Asia, entertaining the troops as a singer, dancer, actor and
instrumentalist on the piano, trumpet and drums. He portrayed
psychiatrist Alex Rice in the sexed-up comedy, The Girl in
the Freudian Slip. He has served as Master of Ceremonies
for beauty pageants and as commentator for fashion shows. He
has performed with The Tap Dancing Barber Shop Quartet at the
Variety Arts theatre in downtown L.A. Joe's most recent musical
variety gigs were with two Charles Dickens acapella Christmas
Caroling Quartets for the Christmas season of 2001. These groups
caroled Beverly Hills, the Downtown Corporate Business District,
Lawry's Restaurant, Pasadena, as well as the Farmer's Market.
Joe is classically trained with a Master of Arts degree in music,
with additional studies at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing
Arts. His education and experience have given him the springboard
for successful performance in these often interactive audience
situations.
